The Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research has made an award to a consortium of universities and health authorities in B.C. to begin the first of three phases of a project for harmonization of research ethics reviews and approvals, initially with a specific focus on multi-centre health related research and clinical trials. Laurel Evans, Associate Director of Research Ethics at UBC and a member of the task force on research ethics harmonization will provide an overview of the initiative and update on progress.
This session will be of interest to anyone involved in the conduct of clinical trials, especially clinical research coordinators, project managers, and clinical research associates.
